Spotlight on TargetStream
TargetStream provides important contributions to the above standards. Chief among them is the real world experience that William Kilian brings to the PDF/UA Technical Working Group (TWG). As the Software Architect of the PDF/UA component of StreamEDS, William brings the perspective of someone with years of experience providing PDF/UA-1 solutions to enterprise clients. Among the Subject Matter Experts in the TWG, William is a rare expert still actively writing new software as a developer.
Looking Ahead
TargetStream is not done yet! We actively support the PDF Association’s work to advance PDF accessibility. In addition to continuing to participate in the PDF/UA TWG, we are leading contributors in two Liaison Working Groups (LWGs) related to accessibility at the PDF Association: the Accessibility LWG and the PDF/UA Processor LWG. In the Accessibility LWG, we are helping to create atomic PDF examples and best practice recommendations for developers and remediators alike to use in development and education. The PDF/UA Processor LWG is currently working with the W3C to develop the PDF-AAM.
